- Coastal plain (Western lowland) – Tirana, Durresi, Shkodra, Lezha, Lushnja, Fier, Vlora, and Delvina.
- Central hilly region – Elbasan, Kruje, Gramsh, Berat, Prmet, Librazhd, and Mirdita.
- Eastern sub-mountainous region – Pogradec, Korca, Leskovic, and Peshkopi.
