Background
The Anđelić family had been cultivating and producing wine for generations. Our forefathers have been producing wine and grape brandy of recognizable quality for more than a hundred years.
Nowadays, only the members of the family take part in creating our wines, and due to their dedication and love all of our wines are of excellent quality. The wine cellar Anđelić is situated in the city of Trebinje, on the banks of Trebisnjica, the longest European sinking river, and near the ruins of the old medieval town of Micevac, at a sun drenched place located on the eastern part of the Herzegovina wine road
Trebinje is home of East Herzegovina’s premium vineyards. We own about 30 hectares of vineyards located in Trebinje’s finest location. Although we put an accent on authentic grape varieties Vranac and Zilavka, we also plant Merlot, Cabernet, Chardonnay and Syrah.
The winery itself is a building specially-constructed to meet all the standards and needs in modern wine production. All processes in production are strictly controlled and standardized by HACCP and ISO 9001 standards.
Our commitment and devotion to authentic grape varieties, Zilavka and Vranac on the first place, has been recognized by the Decanter World Wine Award 2012, awarding our Zilavka with a Silver Medal and making it highest awarded wine in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
